Antoine decides to tell Christine hoping that she won't get mad at him. It took him a while but then he closes his eyes and spits out "I'm gay!" And all of a sudden everything started pouring out. About how he was ashamed of being gay and how much he hated keeping it from her.
Christine was shocked, it took her a few minutes to process what she had just heard.
She got herself together and thought for a while and then she looked at him in the eye and said:
"Don't be ashamed, and don't not want to be gay. There's nothing wrong with it. People who do think it is wrong have something wrong with them. Me, even though I am a little bit angry with you for not telling me from the beginning, I guess I respect you and love you just the same before you told me. And I want you to go out with a guy and have a lot of fun."
Antoine feels a little bit better knowing that one person is at least o.k. with it. But he was also afraid if he told more people, what if someone is gay and decides to sexually assault him. They jump him and they do stuff to him like touch him.; But he decides to stick with outercourse because he was only 15. And he didn't want to contract an STD. The good thing would also be that he wouldn't have to worry about getting condoms, but he knew he could get them with the nurse for the Condom Availability Program during tutorial. But the bad thing would be that lets say he's with an older guy and he wants to have sex, he decided that he would just say no if he wasn't ready.
